02 / Get ready
A few things first.
Have your Sticky, a computer and a USB data cable nearby.
Use a browser with USB serial support on a desktop or laptop.
You can review the next step before finishing this checklist.
03 / Install
Install elseOS.
Connect your Sticky and keep it powered throughout installation.

- Seeed Studio Sticky
- Connect with USB.
Use a USB data cable plugged directly into your computer.
- Choose your Sticky.
Click Install elseOS, then select your Sticky in the browser’s port picker.
- Keep it connected.
Leave this tab open and keep the device powered until installation finishes.

Already have elseOS? Go to local setup.
After installation
Then, make it yours.
Once elseOS is installed, the rest happens locally.

Join your Wi-Fi.
Follow the instructions on your device to connect to your trusted home network.

Open local setup.
Use the setup address shown on your device. Your phone or computer needs to be on the same trusted Wi-Fi.

Bring your favourites.
Add books and photos, choose a Home theme, and make a little space of your own.
Can I install from my phone?
For Sticky, use Chrome or Edge on a desktop or laptop with USB serial support. After installation, you can use local setup from your phone on the same trusted Wi-Fi.
What if my device isn’t found?
Try a data-capable USB cable and a direct USB port. Close other apps or browser tabs using the device. Follow the connection instructions for your exact model; don’t try another model’s package.
Can I return to the original software?
Before installing, check the manufacturer’s recovery instructions for your exact model and retain a copy of any recovery files you need. Recovery may erase data too. If you’re unsure, contact support before making changes.
